The end of temperature problems
Almost everyone who uses sodium discharge lamps for growing has had problems with the grow room getting too hot during the summer despite air conditioning. Plant growth slows down with every degree above 28° C until it almost stops completely at approx. 33° C. There is therefore a risk of plants being irreparably damaged, their tips scorching and the leaves and flowers showing signs of over-fertilisation. These high temperatures are caused by heat radiation emitted by the sodium discharge lamps.

The T-Control PP Bi-Level can control the temperature in the grow room via a thermostat. As soon as the set temperature is exceeded, the T-Control Bi-Level switches to a lower performance setting. Less electricity is used and the lamp produces less light and heat. It can therefore have a positive influence on plant growth, help to maintain growth despite high outdoor temperatures and ensure that plants are healthy. It also reduces electricity consumption by approximately 40 %.

The models that are not cabled and do not have a thermostat should only be connected by a professional electrician. Many devices can then be operated using just one thermostat. The devices that include a thermostat come cabled and are ready to plug-in. They only require an additionalreflector hood and lamp.
