In contrast with magnetic ballasts, high-frequency electronic ballasts have many advantages and significantly facilitate the entire lighting process. Thanks to the higher frequency, they are significantly quieter, do not cause the lights to flicker and light the discharge lamp faster. A big plus is the ability to regulate the lighting performance, usually on four levels. The ballasts GSE 600W and LUMATEK 1000W 400V can control even one Watt!
Electronic ballasts squeeze maximum power from the discharge lamp (above standard values of PAR, lm/W, PAR/W), are more efficient, more economical and with safer operation. The higher price is balanced by the quality. In addition, electronic ballasts with an IEC connector are much easier to install than conventional ballasts.
